Crisp Scan (“Crisp Scan”, “the app”) is designed to do as little with your data as possible. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server we operate. This page explains, plainly, every piece of data the app touches.
None. Crisp Scan has no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no third-party SDKs, no tracking pixels, and no telemetry. We do not know that you have installed the app, that you have opened it, or what you do with it. We have no servers that you communicate with.
Scanned images, the recognized text, folder names, and document titles are stored on your device, in the app’s sandboxed storage. They remain on your device unless you choose to:
Text recognition (OCR) is performed entirely on your device using Apple’s on-device Vision framework. The contents of your scans are not sent anywhere for processing.
Crisp Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. There is no subscription, no auto-renew, and no free trial. The purchase is handled by Apple’s StoreKit; Apple knows about the transaction (and you can see it in your Apple ID purchase history). We do not receive your name, email address, or any personal information from Apple as part of the purchase — only an anonymous receipt that confirms entitlement.
Crisp Scan does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the app collects no personal information at all, there is nothing for us to delete, export, or correct on request.
If we ever change this policy in a way that affects how your data is handled, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes to data handling would also require an updated app version, which Apple reviews before it reaches you.
